Production Music Wiki

Kosinus is a French production music library founded in 1988 by Eric Mallet. The label was named after a mad scientist character created by French illustrator Christophe.

Originally, the label was distributed by Cezame-Argile (then owners of Koka Media). After Jean-Michel Gallois-Montbrun sold his shares in Koka Media to BMG in February 1996, the ownership and distribution rights to the Kosinus music library were taken by Montbrun's newly founded Kapagama.

In July 2009 Kosinus' owner Kapagama was acquired by Universal Publishing Production Music. The catalog became available on UPPM's websites in 2012.
