Production Music Wiki

Flippermusic is an Italian production music distributor founded in 1968 by Romano Di Bari as Canopo.

The company's vinyl sub-labels were Canopo (which was also the company's original name), Deneb, Flirt, Flower, and Octopus Records. In France they were distributed by Montparnasse 2000.

In 1983, Canopo rebranded as Flippermusic, with the former name retained as the latter's sub-label. [1]

In 1988, Flippermusic founded their first own CD label Primrose Music, which initially reissued selected tracks from their vinyl repertoire.

The company's repertoire is also distributed in northern Italy by Milan-based Media One.
