Coloursound was a Munich-based German production music library founded by Gunter Greffenius and Gerhard Narholz in 1979. Aside from German composers, the label featured Polish, Czechoslovakian and Italian ones as well.
In 1991, Coloursound was acquired by EMI Music Publishing (through Selected Sound). Consequently, the label stopped producing new albums and a portion of its tracks was included in Selected Sound's Select Series released in 1993.
