Production Music Wiki

Cinemusic is an American production music library founded in 1965 by Jack Shaindlin. All songs on the label were composed by it's founder.

The company’s first albums were re-releases of Jack Shaindlin’s compositions for the Langlois Filmusic label. The company was known to be distributed in the UK by Charles Brull Ltd.

In the 1980s, the company was purchased by EMI as part of Blackwood Music acquisition, who released a new LP series that re-released some songs from Langlois Filmusic and the previous LP series.

In 1998, the label released 6 CD compilation of selected cues from Langlois Filmusic and Cinemusic’s first LP series. These albums are the ones featured in Associated Production Music and EMI Production Music (currently KPM Music) websites. As of 2022, none of Cinemusic vinyl albums have yet been digitized on the aforementioned websites.
