Production Music Wiki

CPM Music (formerly Carlin Recorded Music Library and Carlin Production Music) is a British production music library founded in September 1, 1988. [1] Originally it was a unit within Carlin Music set up by former Chappell Recorded Music Library manager Nick Farries after the latter company was sold to Zomba in the same year. [2]

The library, apart from its own works also acquired the Blue River Music catalogue around 1999 and is also known for re-releases of Capitol Production Music tracks composed by, for instance, Harry Bluestone or Emil Cadkin (especially in the Archive series).

In its first years, Carlin administered in the British Isles Standard Music Library and Ready Music libraries, which were before then administered by Chappell.[3] During 1990s and early 2000s the company also held European distribution rights to the Airforce music library.

In March 2010, the label was acquired by Warner Chappell Music through its Non-Stop Music subsidary.

CPM online albums[]

This exclusive series of online albums features tracks originally released by EMI Photoplay, Capitol Production Music, Sam Fox's OK Music Library, and Ultra Music Services. After a rights dispute was lost between William Loose's estate, the library has been digitally removed from KPM Music's Play and Universal Production Music websites.
