Production Music Wiki

Associated Production Music (also known as APM Music) is an American production music distributor founded in New York in 1983 initially as a joint venture between ATV Music Ltd. (those shares were later acquired by Zomba/Jive Production Music as part of purchase of Bruton Music) and EMI Production Music, now known as KPM Music (the latter now owned by APM's co-owner Sony Music Publishing).

When established, APM Music was the American distributor of three British libraries in July 1983: Berry Music's Conroy, KPM Music, and Themes International, all owned by EMI. APM gained distribution rights to Bruton Music in October 1983. All which were originally distributed by Emil Ascher, Inc. In July 1988, they started representing the German label Sonoton. Over the years, the library expanded as APM Music distributed numerous labels like Selected Sound, CPM Music, NFL Music Library, and Kosinus.

Today, APM distributes over hundreds of production music libraries and over 800,000 tracks.

APM also established their own music libraries including APM Archival, APM Collection, and Endgame. Partnering with Discovery Communications, APM also offers the Discovery Studios Tracks library.

It is headquartered in Los Angeles, California.
